Oksana Salamatina
Oksana earned her Master’s degree in Gallery Art Administration from the State University of New York. Her journey in the arts began with a Peggy Guggenheim Scholarship that took her to Venice, where she studied at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection. She worked with some of the world’s most respected art institutions, including Sotheby’s, Christie’s, the Smithsonian, and many more, where she helped bring important art exhibitions to life.
As the founder of Salamatina Gallery, she’s known for championing bold, imaginative, and boundary-pushing work. Her gallery’s exhibitions have been featured in The New York Times, The New Yorker, Art News, and more.
Today, Oksana brings that same passion for creativity and storytelling to her work as a children’s author—celebrating art, wonder, and the beauty of friendship across cultures and languages.
